A transistor was first developed by William Shockley, Walter Brattain and John Bardeen. These individuals created one of the greatest inventions known to man, one that will drive the future of mankind. Was this the invention that we needed to create a future like the Jetsons? I think so!
A transistor is known as an electronic switch, a way to go between 0 and 1, on and off. By having hundreds, thousands and millions of these transistors paired together great things can be achieved. This invention is something that will never be recreated and produce such a great output for mankind. Every electronic around us utilizes a transistor, so I would say that the transistor is the greatest invention to date.
