As a student nearing the end of my college journey, I’ve had a wealth of experiences. Soon, I’ll graduate with a degree in engineering, specializing in electrical and computer engineering. This field has opened my eyes to our world and its technologies in ways I never imagined. From the development of stenography to the invention of the first transistor, countless breakthroughs have been made to enhance the lives of people everywhere. These inventions have paved the way for myriad smaller innovations, including the use of binary code, which continues to shape both past and future technological advancements.
Designing circuits that filter noise and transmit audio using just electronic components was, and still is, a game-changer. These same components are at the heart of creating artificial intelligence (AI), which is shaping up to be the future of how everything works around us. As we tap into these advancements, AI isn’t just improving what we already do—it’s opening doors to new possibilities in everything from healthcare to finance. It’s a big leap from simple circuits to intelligent systems that make decisions and learn on their own, showing just how far we’ve come in integrating technology into our lives.
