During the first class of Core.456, Internet and Digital Revolution, a lot was discussed. The bulk of the class was discussing the syllabus and expectations of the course. However, during the syllabus and expectation discussion, a topic of interest appeared. In class there was a discussion regarding Elon Musk’s Neuralink technology. This technology restores vision to the blind by implementing a “direct vision to the brain by stimulating parts of the visual cortex”. This technology was implemented into the human brain for the first time recently, paving the way for future technologies such as ways to restore communication and movement for those who are paralyzed. I find this newly developed technology to be very interesting and the milestone to the next great success.
